As Night Approaches captures the quiet atmosphere of Inishail island on Loch Awe as the light begins to fade. Soft washes of violet, grey and muted green create a sense of stillness across the water, with the distant hills gradually disappearing into the evening sky.
The painting is part of Lochside Whispers, a series inspired by the Scottish lochs and the landscapes encountered around them.
